The “3×3 Greater Bay Area Tour 2026” Macao Final, organized by the Sports Bureau and StarMac Entertainment Production Limited, co-organized by the Macau-China Basketball Association, Chaiioi Sports Company Limited and Zhuixing Culture & Media (Zhuhai Hengqin) Company Limited, and supported by the Macao Government Tourism Office, was held from 19 to 21 October. Bionord Wolf United and Guangzhou Qiuqi (廣州球棋) were crowned champions of the men's and women's category, respectively.
The Tour’s leg events and qualifiers were held from July to October in Foshan, Zhaoqing, Shenzhen, Hengqin and Macao. The top three teams from each leg or qualifier, along with the other men’s and women’s teams registered through open entry, gathered in Macao to compete for prizes and awards worth over MOP700,000.
After consecutive days of competition, the men’s champion was decided today (21 October). In the final, Dongguan Wanhuitu (東莞萬匯圖) faced Bionord Wolf United. The pace of play was fast on both offense and defense, and Bionord Wolf United, with a better performance on both ends, ultimately won 21-13. In the men’s third-place game, Guangzhou Qiuqi (廣州球棋) defeated Hengdengshi ai (恆等式ai) 21-14.
The women’s category concluded yesterday (20 October). In the final, Guangzhou Qiuqi (廣州球棋) faced Guizhou Jiguang (貴州極光) in a fiercely contested match, with Guangzhou Qiuqi winning 21-20. In the third-place match, Shenzhen Lingyi (深圳零壹) overcame the Macao Youth Team 19-12.
Guests officiating the prize presentation ceremony included: Ms. Lei Si Leng, Vice President of the Sport Bureau; Mr. Lou Kit Long, Chief Executive Officer of StarMac Entertainment Production Limited; Mr. Chan Chak Mo, President of the Sports and Olympic Committee of Macau, China; and Mr. Wu Chong Fai, President of the Macau-China Basketball Association.
In response to the Macao SAR Government’s “Tourism+” and “Sports+” industry integration policy and to create a new model linking major sporting events with local neighborhood associations, commercial districts, food and culture, the organizers carried out a range of ancillary activities during the event. Together with nearly 20 merchants in the Ruins of St. Paul’s commercial district—including food and beverage businesses, cultural and creative industries and local brands—the organizers set up basketball-themed games in participating stores and launched event-exclusive spending offers to attract spectators to the district and encourage spending. The footfall generated by this major sporting event has boosted consumption in the Ruins of St. Paul’s community, stimulated cultural tourism and the commercial district economy, and promoted sports tourism in Macao.
